Samoa and Fiji Outreach!

Hello everyone! Lecture faze of the DTS has been so fruitful and beautiful and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to be with these students and thankfully I still have 2 weeks left. And after that, I'm headed to Samoa and Fiji April 12th!! This post is all about outreach so you can meet the team, know more about the locations, and pray for the team.

Meet the team!

My Partner/ Co-Leader

I have an amazing co-leader that will be leading the team with me so I'm not all by myself (praise the Lord). I will be leading with my good friend Sydney Diprose. Last October we did DBS together and became friends on DBS. After DBS they invited my school to come back and staff the January DTS and Sydney and I were the ones that came back to staff. We were SO excited when we found out we were leading a team together but were a tiny bit confused because it was both of our first times leading an outreach team and usually, we are partnered with someone who has had some experience. But as we continued to prep and spend more time together, we figured out very quickly that this decision was from the Lord, and we were a very good match. Sydney is from the North Island of New Zealand (where the Hobbit was filmed). She did her DTS in Scotland in 2023 and went on outreach to England. She is a goofy, powerful woman of God that is so passionate and full of light. We are just goofy and fun but also can crack down on business when it comes down to it. I am so thankful to be leading a team with her.

Now you guys get to meet the students! They are all so amazing and I just know we are going to have an incredible outreach; especially with their willing hearts to preach, pray, work, and love others all for the glory of the Lord.

*Janae- Janae is from Canda and is incredibly strong. Unfortunately, because of some health reasons, she's not able to go on outreach with the team. She's going to go home and still proclaim the Good News. We love her and are sad she's not able to come but we know the Lord has bigger, better plans for her.

Natalia- Natalia is from the United States. She is a powerful warrior for the kingdom that can melt a heart with her smile.

Olivia- Olivia is from France. She is a tender, joyous, prayer warrior that makes others feel so safe.

Lorraine- Lorraine is from Switzerland. She is so full of wisdom and power to break strongholds in her prayers. She also has so much life in her giggles.

Emily- Emily is from the United Kingdom. She is a musician that is so full of fire and compassion for others.

Locations (Where we will be what we will do):

Samoa- In Samoa, we will be with YWAM Samoa for 3 1/2 weeks. It is their 50th anniversary the first week we are with them so we will be helping them clean up, give the other missionaries rest by doing their work duties. Then the other weeks we will probably be going to villages, leading church services, kids' ministry, leading bible studies, etc. We aren't quite sure the exact ministry until we get there so I'll keep y'all updated!

Suva, Fiji- Then we head to Fiji May 8th. We will then travel to a new YWAM Base in Suva Fiji. When Sydney and I prayed, we felt to help a newer YWAM Base with relieving the long-term missionaries in Fiji so they can do the things they never had time to do. We would be doing the cooking, cleaning, maintenance, and anything else they would need help with. The base leader said our team coming was PERFECT timing for the base because at that time many different teams were coming, and they needed extra help. Praise the Lord we can hear from God.

Nadi, Fiji- Then we travel to Nadi to stay with Aunty Gee. We will be with her for 10 days and the ministries we will be doing include high school ministry, hospital, street evangelism, church and kids' ministry, and on Saturday night, night club ministry. On Saturday we will be partnered with male Christian locals (for safety) and stand outside of night clubs to evangelize and tell them the gospel.
