My name is Destiny Gentry

I am a 21-year-old Christian missionary associated with YWAM (Youth With A Mission). My heart and desires are first, to stay deeply in love with Jesus, then to help others experience that same love for themselves. I have a desire to help students grow through DTS (Discipleship Training School). I'm there to help direct, mentor, and steward the lives of these young people in Christ to be better used for the kingdom of God. Help me multiply missionaries!

We just finished our 3 1/2 weeks in Samoa.
We did ministry such as helping the locals on base with cooking and cleaning, preaching, evangelism, and so many things we couldn’t have even planned for.
I’m going to miss this beautiful nation and the family I gained while I was there. I love you all, this is see you later not goodbye 🤍🇼🇸

There’s something so significant and special about the first DTS you staff. I learned SO much along side the students. Not only would I die for this group of people but I would also live for them. I would want to put in effort to improve for them, not myself.
I’m going to miss this season and people but I know, my God is kind and I’ll see them again someday <3

This DTS has been so amazing! I love seeing all these students find their identity in Christ and know God for themselves. God is so kind to also be growing me and my faith during this time and I am so grateful for this intimate time. <3

This year, 2024 has been so sweet.
I had the privilege to spend most of the year in Papua New Guinea and finished the year with New Zealand.
God you are moving, use me!

Last Thursday ministry was so full of love.

For base evangelism we brought in troubled boys from the streets and we danced, acted, and preached Gods heart for them. We helped bring so much joy and encouragement; there is a real God that loves them and sees their situation.

We brought people in that were passing by and the girl I’m praying for in the first picture gave her life to Christ!

I am so thankful for my beautiful team and outreach location. I will always have a heart for these amazing people and PNG🇵🇬

The Lord has been so gracious to me giving me peace, rest, joy, and an abundance of life.

I was blessed with meeting so many amazing people this year. I grew in my faith so much and I have such fresh vision for my life. 🧁

AHH!!🌱 living out Gods plan for my life has been so fulfilling. 🌴

Do you guys realize how lucky we are to be able to have access to the book of life?! The Bible is such a gift from God and I am eternally grateful. 🤍
But we have to believe the words of God because if we don’t,
“The person without the spirit does not accept the things that come from the spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them.” 1 Corinthians 2:14

I was blessed with the opportunity of being a lifeguard instructor and supervisor this year. This is definitely not a job for the weak that’s for sure. Thank you to all my friends for laughing, crying, sweating, and yelling with me, I love you all <3 cheers to 2023 season 🥂

Thank you 2022. This year has been so crazy but I feel like it is a year preparing me for 2023.

One day during service they said they were doing baptisms. I thought “oh that’s cool” but didn’t plan of getting baptized. Then I felt the Holy Spirit tell me “go, follow me and go” I WAS IN SKINNY JEANS I didn’t have a change of clothes, but it was one of the best feelings of overwhelming joy :) open your heart and self up to God and he will do the rest <3
