Hello!
I'm going to start this by saying I am absolutely shocked at the amount of people that want to be updated on this missionary journey. I am so excited to have this connection with you all and please, if you have any suggestions or complains let me know, because this is for you! I'm going to steward this site well, so you all are informed and updated. I love you all!

But I want to start with catching you all up with what I am doing here in New Zealand. The Lord spoke to me about coming straight back to New Zealand after my DBS to staff the 2025 January, School. I went home for about 2 weeks and came straight back to start this crazy, beautiful season. Now, we just finished week 9 and have 3 more weeks until outreach! But before I can get into that, let me catch you up.
The Students and Staff:

We have 15 absolutely amazing students. we have 14 girls and 1 guy! Usually, it's normal having more girls but I have never seen a DTS with this ratio of girls to guys. I have three girls that are my "one-on-ones". In YWAM we value learning and processing the information as a school, in small groups, and one-on-ones. One-on-ones is just one staff and one student where the student should feel safe talking about things they are processing without other people around. It's such a fun time getting to know the girls on a deeper level and love them well in this season.

I have Natalia from the USA, Noa from the Netherlands, and Rebekka (Bex) from Norway. I LOVE doing one-on-ones and listening to the Holy Spirit to help the girls process. The students on the school are so sweet, goofy, and so full of love. I really think the Lord has blessed me and has given me grace with the students on the school, since

this is my first time staffing. There are zero problems as a school, and they all love the Lord and each other so well and they are so hungry to grow.
The Week Layout:
This is the week, topic, and what was my main takeaway or most impactful from the week.

Week 1: Orientation
Week 2: Hearing's God's Voice- "Draw from pure wells." What I consume and let in will either hinder or grow my relationship with the Lord.
Week 3: Jesus and Worldview-Jesus didn't come to save us from God, he came to show us who God truly is.
Week 4: Relationships- INTIMACY WITH JESUS. This week is where I realized I desired deeper intimacy and I've been pursuing this with God heavily.
Week 5: Character and Nature- Desert seasons are to pull us away from distractions to focus on God; it's different than the routine.
Week 6: Identity- I was identifying with an orphan spirit, but I am called to be a daughter of the highest king. I am not an orphan, but a daughter.
Week 7: Father Heart of God: Giving our lives for others is being fruitful in the command "be fruitful and multiply."
Week 8: Spiritual Warfare/ Holy Spirit- We are in the center of the trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We cannot be separated from that embrace and love.
Week 9: Beauty of Jesus: AMAZING WEEK WITH JOSH COLE. I got soooo much confirmation about many things. Don't only seek the lamp but seek the oil that keeps the lamp burning.
Week 10: Lordship and fear of the Lord
Week 11: Missions
Week 12: The Great Commision/ Following Jesus
Fun Revelation:
One student came up to me and said they had a word for me. She prayed and got the bible verse Luke 7:36-50 which is the Alabaster Jar being broken on Jesus' feet. This was significant to me because my main thing I have been working on with Jesus is sacrificing my time to spend it with him and growing in intimacy, so this word really spoke to me. Then that weekend I started to draw the broken alabaster jar, just as a way to pray into the picture and be creative. THEN, the next week was beauty of Jesus week (which I didn't even think about) and on Tuesday night the speaker talked mainly about that story. There was this whole teaching about how the woman that broke the expensive jar on Jesus' feet was the only person that believed that Jesus was about to die because she spent intimate time with him at his feet. And that's exactly what I'm working on with God. It was beautiful how the Lord was speaking to me and the student and then gave me confirmation through the lecture.
Fun trips our school went on:

One weekend, we had a weekend activity that was planned by the staff as a way to get away, explore, and to connect with the Lord outside of our base. On Friday afternoon, we packed our backpacks, drove to a place where we would start hiking 3 miles (5k) to a hut that we would be staying in for the night. Oh, and one rule, no phones. We got to the hut and ate spaghetti and started the worship night. We worshipped and then had a time of repentance that was so healing for everyone in the room.

After a while, we then had fellowship playing card games, watching the stars, having conversations, and drinking tea. It was such a sweet time. The next morning, we had breakfast, cleaned up and started the hike back to the vans. We then drove to a cute town close by and spent the evening there. We got food and headed home Saturday night. It was a quick trip, but it was so much fun. Everyone got closer not only to each other but also to God. Things that people needed to lay down were laid down and left in that hut. (Emotional baggage, lies they were believing, sins they were walking in, etc.)
My Outreach Team and Locations:
If you haven't heard already, I'm leading a team to Samoa and Fiji!! We leave April 12th

and we will be in Samoa for 3 1/2 weeks and then Fiji for 4 1/2 weeks. My co-leader is my good friend Sydney who did DBS with me. We have 4 students we are leading and amazing ministries planned! We are SO excited, and I am also excited to keep y'all updated as I'm in Samoa and Fiji. I am so thankful for my co-leader and team and know the Lord is already moving in these nations. Next week, I want to talk all about outreach, where we will be going, what ministry we will be doing, and where you can help this mission!

Thank you all for reading and please, let's stay in touch. You can message me at any time with any questions, comments, or if you just want to chat. I love you all so much.
Love,
Destiny
